  	Charles County Maryland Land Record Liber X#2, 1743-1744; Page 25. At the request of William Allen of Charles County, the following deed was recorded on Aug 28, 1743. Mar 9, 1742/3 from Bayne Smallwood of Charles County, planter, to William Allen of Charles County, planter, for the rents and services on the part of the sd William to be paid and performed, and for other good causes, Smallwood leases to sd William Allen all the estate which sd Bayne has to a tract of land in Charles County called Smallwoods Enlargement, containing about 100 acres, for 21 years. The yearly rent is 600 lbs tobacco. William agrees to plant 100 apple trees within the next 5 years, and at the end of the lease, to leave the premises in tenantable. Note: This was a portion of the 455 acre tract, surveyed for Bayne Smallwood on 10 Dec 1741, "beginning at a bounded white oak standing on the South side of a marsh in the woods called WHITE MARSH..."
