Virginia for the protection of the inhabitants against the combined forces of Indians and British. This Information came from the DAR records of Miss Alverta Geisendorfer of Quincy Illinois 1978. - William Crawford's and Margaret Kilpatrick's son Robert K. Crawford married his cousin, Elizabeth Crawford, daughter of James Crawford and Jane McClellan. That implies that William and James are brothers, which means that John Crawford was also James' father. [1]
