John Fike, Sr., last will and testament, dated 3 July 1829, probated 8 September 1829
Taken from Hoye's pioneer families of Garrett County, Charles E Hoye, Garrett County Historical Society, Parsons, WV: McClain Print. Co., 1988, page 224.
To his wife, Barbara, he left his plantation during her lifetime; also all his personal property and $200 cash.
To the following children he bequeathed $50 each; John, Peter, Jacob, Christian, Elizabeth, wife of Benjamin Asis; to Catherine, wife of Samuel Hazlet, $5; to Francis, wife of Charles Griffith, one hundred acres on which she lived near the Pennsylvania line; to Ann, wife of Christian Musser, land and $50; to Maria, wife of ______ Herrider, $50; to his grandson, Jeremeahe Guard, son of Frances, 15 acres on Mill Run; to John, tract joining John Slicer's. The residue of his estate in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia to be divided equally between six children.

The will does not mention Barbara Fike who married John Myers, per Christian Fike and his Descendants. Was this a transcription omission or was there another reason why she wasn't included in John's will? I don't know at present.
