Virginia Ann Reder Triggs, 90, passed away July 4, 2013. She was born May 20, 1923 in Olympia to Henry and Ada (Turner) Reder. She graduated from Olympia High School and later married Thomas J. Triggs, Sr. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Olympia.

A lovely, energetic person with a genuine regard for everyone she met, Virginia treasured her role as a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a woman of faith, and was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church Altar Society and was a past president of the Young Ladies Institute at the church. Virginia loved baking, quilting, and traveling, and her favorite travel adventure was a Hawaiian cruise in her 80s with her friend, Eunice.

Preceding Virginia in death were her husband, Thomas Sr.; infant daughter, Mary Ann; and youngest son, Dennis. Left to grieve are sons, Thomas Jr., Michael, and Gregory (Joanne); and daughters, Patricia Triggs (Jim Trindle) and Theresa Wheaton (Tim).

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea on Monday, July 22 at 9:30 a.m., with a funeral Mass following at 10 a.m. A private burial will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m.

Memorial donations in Virginia's name may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County or the Thomas Triggs Scholarship in care of Olympic College Foundation.
