Assuming that he moved out of the family home at age 18 to McPherson, McPherson county, Kansas where he met and married Anna E. Mayes.
Occupation | Abt 1882 to 1902 [1]
Abstractor of Titles. I believe that he learned this occupation while working for his brothers George and Ben Allison, co-owners of Allison Brothers Abstract Business. This is an educated guess. Lisa Allison Albert. While living in LA, William served as the manager of the title and abstract company for Los Angeles.
Address | Aft Jun 1887 | San Diego, San Diego, CA [1] |
They moved to San Diego after they married June 1887 and before daughter Marian was born July 1888.

Occupation | 1905 to 1908 | Coalgate, Coal, OK [1] |

Address | 1908 | Tupelo, Coal, OK [1] |
They moved to Tupelo before daughter Faith was born Apr 1908.
Address | 1909 | , , MO [1, 3] |
I think the family moved to Carterville, Jasper county, Missouri after Faith was born Apr 1908 in Tupelo and before Grace died Aug 1908 and not in 1909, as stated in the "Historical Genealogy of the Woodsons and their connections." Grace is buried in Carterville Cemetery, Carterville, Jasper county, Missouri and it seems very unlikely that the family would have carried Grace's body from Oklahoma to Missouri for burial months after she died.
